Steering Dampers

This is why you love riding a motorbike! You steer from left to right and you thoroughly enjoy yourself. Next, a straight stretch of road. Ahead of you a lorry comes into view. The left lane is free, you push your knees into the fuel tank and open the throttle. You have done this a thousand times before, without any problems. Only this time it's different. There are enough bumps in the road to make a Formula 1 car flip over. Just as you've passed the lorry, your hands nearly get knocked off the handlebars. Of course, you are an excellent bike rider, however, what will happen next is mostly down to pure luck...

A Hyperpro steering damper reduces this kind of risk to a bare minimum. Tank slappers and vibrations are intercepted by the damper. As a result you have a bike that steers the way you're used to and reacts the way you'd hope for in unexpected circumstances.

Hyperpro Steering Damper programm is divided in 2 levels, the CSC (Constant Safety Control) and RSC (Reactive Safety Control)

Both steering dampers types are made with the highest precision to guarantee the quality and working of the steering damper.

The CSC steering damper is one of the top products in the range of  "regular" steering dampers. It is a linear damping steering damper with 24 clicks to have a fine tuning possible. It gives the rider a comfort in riding and the assurance of not getting knocked of with quick steering movements of the bike.

The RSC steering damper is unique in its kind and is above all other steering dampers. It behaves like a linear steering damper while normal riding, having all the functionalities like the CSC Steering Damper, BUT when it comes to the real work, like tankslappers and wobbling, the very quick movements of the steer, where the linear damper helps to control the bike, the RSC will react in a direct way with a lot of extra progressive damping, to give you the real support you need. As we say the "worlds best steering damper!"

Both types of dampers are equipped with the following features:

• Fully adjustable - Damping can be adjusted in 22 positions.
• Fully rebuildable with spare parts availability.
• Twin-tube clamp. This ensures that the clamping force of the tube-clamp does not obstruct the piston.
• Low friction design due to Ø8mm piston rod with special surface treatment.
• One-piece piston rod - Perfect alignment through the slide bearings and no excessive force on the piston.
• Triple function seals. Dust scraper and double oil seal, ensuring that dust cannot enter and oil cannot exit.
• Nitrogen pressurised heat expansion reservoir - Gas pressure prevents the forming of air bubbles.

Mounting kits

To mount a steering damper to the bike, Hyperpro develops mounting kits. Our phylosophy tells us we want a steering damper when possible on top tank position where you can see and adjust it easily. Then we don't want you to drill or cut in the bike. Next to that it is a designed part, so it has to look nice. This gives us a range of over 200 bike specific mounting kits for steering dampers. Mounting kits come in gold or black color. If your bike is not in our list, we have a wide range of clamps and bracket to mount itto the bike yourself. All parts we develop, design, manufacture and assemble in our own factory!
